How we assess it

We begin with a thorough history to understand how your symptoms started and what impacts them daily. We then conduct physical checks including movement, strength, and nerve-response assessments.

We look at your everyday function—sitting, walking, work, and activity—to build a relevant picture of your needs.

Harrison works within the scope of Sports Therapy. If assessment findings suggest that a medical review, imaging, or another healthcare professional is more appropriate, he will discuss this clearly and provide guidance on the next steps.

Common questions

No. Sciatica describes a pattern of nerve-related symptoms, not one single cause. A clinical assessment considers how symptoms behave and whether medical review or imaging is more appropriate.

Most people do not need a scan before an initial assessment. If your history or findings suggest medical review or imaging may be more appropriate, Harrison will explain the next step.

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Shorts or a vest can help where appropriate, but the assessment can be adapted and consent and comfort come first.

This depends on the problem, your goals and how you respond. After the initial assessment Harrison will explain the recommendation clearly, without pressure to overbook.

No. Statera works with people of different ages and activity levels. The assessment is built around the movement or activity that matters to you.
