Sports Massage for Race and Event Training in St Albans

Sports massage can help when training leaves your muscles feeling tight, heavy or stiff. If you have pain, an injury, nerve symptoms or are unsure what is causing the problem, start with an Initial MSK Assessment.

When sports massage may help during training

Massage can be useful during a training block when increasing distance, pace or frequency leaves particular areas feeling overworked.

Muscles feel tight or heavy as training builds

You want focused treatment between demanding sessions

You are preparing for a race, match or event

You feel generally stiff after the event

What to expect from your session

Tell Harrison what you are training for and which areas feel most loaded. The session is then focused on those muscles and adjusted to your comfort.

Training check-in

A short conversation about your current training, event date and what you want from the session.

Focused treatment

Hands-on treatment for the muscle groups carrying the most load.

Pressure that suits you

Harrison checks in with you and adjusts the pressure throughout the session.

Practical aftercare

Simple guidance to help you plan the next day or two of training.

Choosing 30, 60 or 90 minutes

Choose 30 minutes for one main area, 60 minutes for several related areas, or the 90-minute Full Body Reset when you want more time across the body.

Not sure what you need?

If you have pain, nerve symptoms or you are unsure what is happening, it is usually better to start with an assessment rather than a massage-only session.
